Recent Vitale Joie De Vivre Review: "The fresh smell on entering the hotel is the first thing you'll notice. It starts the transition from the outside world to the luxurious comfort of this hotel. Dried lavender is posted outside each hotel room door, and the staff claims that is the whole secret. Excellent bed and linens. Bath products better than most hotels, again with delightful smells. Very nice room layout. Staff was exceedingly helpful. Excellent location. We used public transportation to get to the hotel from SFO, and to Berkeley for a concert on Sunday. No rental car was necessary to do all the things on our agenda. We attended the Saturday Farmers' Market at the Ferry Bldg, which was a treat for all senses. The bar/restaurant was jumping on Friday and Saturday nights, and have outdoor seating with an unparalleled view of the Bay Bridge. We travel to SF frequently, and usually stay around Union Square. After this experience, we will make Hotel Vitale our destination of choice."

| A short guide to Financial District - Ferry Building |
|
The bulls and bears of industry tread the streets of the Financial District, home to the city’s tallest buildings, including the iconic Transmerica Pyramid. The towers give way to The Embarcadero, the broad, palm-lined avenue that begins at the San Francisco Giant’s AT&T Park and ends at Fisherman’s Wharf. The road passes by the Ferry Building, a landmark transformed into an artisanal food market.
