Recent Union Square Personality Review: "I have stayed here before but this time it was a bit harder to get parking at their valet parking. It is in the middle of Union Square area which if you are driving will be a nightmare with crowd and traffic. The city decided to construct a small resting place for pedestrians right in front of the hotel which if you are driving and trying to get valet  service from the hotel you will have to drive straight to their parking garage around the corner and then check in. There used to be space in front of their hotel for valet service but not anymore, the only space available for cars to stop and try to get valet service is about 50 feet or so up the street from the hotel in front of Tad's Steak restaurant which if you are lucky there won't be anyone parked in that spot (unlike me who had to drive around the block 3 times to park in that spot which a limo was parked in just to be told to go to the garage around the corner when finally I had a chance to park in that spot.) So if you are driving I suggest you go straight to their parking garage on Ellis St. just around the corner to avoid driving around."
