Overview of UNION SQUARE - CONVENTION CENTER San Francisco Hotels

Many visitors to San Francisco stay in Union Square, which offers a range of prices and options. As the commercial hub of the city, you'll find most major hotels here -- as well as excellent restaurants, galleries, upscale boutiques and Flagship stores.

Most major tourist attractions are a Trolley or Cable-Car ride from Union Square...making it an ideal home base during your stay.

Directly North of Union Square is Nob Hill -- an affluent district that is home to many of the city's upper class families (sometimes referred to as "snob" hill). Slightly northwest lies Russian Hill -- another affluent, mostly residential neighborhood that's home to the prestigious San Francisco Art Institute

San Francisco's Chinatown, the largest outside Asia, has temples, shops, restaurants and markets.  Don't try to drive here! It's impossible to navigate and even harder to park. It's best to explore on foot. Chinatown lies East of Russian Hill.

South of Union Square is the Convention Center area that includes SFMOMA (San Francisco Museum of Modern Art) and Yerba Buena Center for the Arts. The Theater District is only 3 blocks west of Union Square and offers a variety of excellent stage productions year round.
