Recent Travelodge Presidio Review: "This hotel was clean, comfortable and a good price. We were away from the more touristy areas (like fisherman's Wharf) so we saw the "real" SF, which was nice. The hotel staff was very nice. Our room key did not work when we checked in and the front desk switched us to another room very quickly. Our room was spacious and clean. The neighborhood seemed safe and is literally a few steps from the Presidio and also very close the Palace of Fine Arts. There is free parking, but not enough for each room and there is no parking around that we found (you kind of have to fight for it!). That said, we found a spot each night in the hotel's parking lot. The continental breakfast is coffee and some sort of packaged pastries that are in a little table in the lobby and there is no place to sit. There is a bench outside if the weather is nice or you could eat in your room. I think this is a good place to stay with kids...there are nice open places for them to play in the Presidio and the neighborhoods down the hill have a lot of families with kids so all of the places we went into were kid-friendly."
