| Great Union Square location. The service in this hotel was second-to-none. Unfortunately, underneath an inviting down duvet was a very lumpy, hard mattress. And within the nicely appointed bathroom, there was a sink that hardly drained at all (it only took 45 seconds for the entire bowl to fill up with water with the drain OPEN). Like many older hotels, the room is very small and the walls are very thin. The SERVICE, however, from the doorman to the operator, was impeccable. It gives me faith for the Taj brand even if the hotel itself was disappointing. If it weren't for the amazing service, I would give this property 3 stars. |

| I've stayed at a number of SF hotels in Union Square and SOMA, and I think Taj is one of the best for my tastes. I had a King Deluxe room on the seventh floor and it was fantastic. Not really a view, but the room made up for it with a great bed, nicely laid out bathroom, and an amazing wood paneled multi-drawer closet. I really liked the minimalism of the room without the compromise of any amenities. The only thing I didn't like was the shower - it was the typical California low-flo shower head with not much pressure (I don't fault the hotel for that though since most of the other SF hotels have the same). I also liked that the gym had free weights - most hotel gyms don't. I will be back. |

| It was LOVELY. We felt pampered and totally relaxed. The service was impeccable and the hotel staff were genuinely nice. |

| The service always brings you back, whether a restaurant, a retailer, a bar and a hotel. The service was spectacular! We didn't realize service like that still existed. We will definitely stay there again. The room, all the personal touches involved was more than perfect. |

| Wonderful classy hotel. Room a little small but well organized. Friendly service. $50 a night plus $7 tax for parking is a little steep. |

| Hotel staff were very attentive. The room was fine, the restaurant was great. Cannot beat the location. Although valet parking was available I parked my car at public parking less than 100 yards away on the same street and was able to walk back to my car easily when I needed it. Overall a great experience. |

| Campton Place is an excellent hotel in the heart of San Francisco. The staff are well trained and very responsive to the needs of guests. I have been staying at this hotel for more than 20 years. Highly recommended. |

| The hotel is perfectly located in Union Square. Great location, safe area. The room was a bit small in my opinion given the premium price of the hotel. While the room was a too small for my taste, the bathroom was excellent. Large tub, big walk-in shower, well lit and the best bath robes. Don't come to this hotel expecting to be blow away by the decor but come for a great location, comfortable beds and bath robes and great service. |

| This is s a great little boutique hotel with a great location, a great restaurant and great service. Regular room is a little small but has everything you need. |
