Recent Steinhart Apartments Review: "First impressions of SF after driving from the airport through the Tenderloin area were not good! however on arriving at the Steinhart things started to look up. Met by a friendly and helpful young man (Daniel) on reception,who genuinley wanted to do all he could to ensure our stay was pleasant. He highlighted on a map which areas should be avoided(and  I would strongly recommend you DO avoid Tenderloin) The apartment block had a curious odour all through the communal areas but not noticable in the apartment itself. The apartment was ideal for us, no restrictions, you are free to come and go as you please. There is a maid service on a Friday which again was good as you really felt it was a comfortable home from home with no persistant maid service intrusions. Standard of apartment was good, furniture quite eclectic mix but good quality and clean. Location is good for most things but take good walking footwear as wherever you want to go you wil be met by some very steep streets."
