| overall enjoyed the hotel. Best parts were the friendliness of the staff and the wine happy hours and breakfast. It has a European feel to it as its very small and the rooms are smaller than usual. My only slight complaint was the thin walls and you seem to hear everything but I understand its 100 years old. Also the temperature in the room was pretty warm and we were unable to control the thermostat. Other than that I would stay here again and recommend it just for the price and location and staff. |

| The staff was extremely friendly. Loved the free wine at the social hour and the breakfast buffet was decent, considering it was included at no charge. The room was small, but we didn't spend much time in there. Also, the beds could use updating, as they were fine, but not luxuriously comfortable. Overall, though, I've stayed in much worse, and I would go back to this one. |

| Selected from the reviews which were spot-on .A very quaint French-style hotel, loved the fire in the room, the lack of outside noise which seems to ruin so many other hotels, very good location and a great idea having the Happy-Hour every evening to meet all the other guests. Highly recommendable - to the right guests. |

| 建物自体は古いのですがよくメンテナンスされています。逆にエレベーターが旧式だったりして楽しめます。上の階の足音が筒抜けなのが残念ですが、それさえなければ場所も便利（ワンブロック先をケーブルカーが走っています）ですし、サービスも抜群だと思います（朝食や、ディナー前のハウスワイン等のサービスもあります）。
何より、部屋で暖炉に当たりながらゆっくりできる時間がすてきです。宿泊をされる際には、是非暖炉付きのお部屋をお薦めします。 |

| This is a wonderful little hotel in the heart of San Francisco. The rooms are small but very comfortable. The breakfast and afternoon cotails and Hors d'oeuvres are a brilliant touch.
The hotel is walking distance from Union Square and China Town. It is a block and a half from the Cable car stop which will take yiou to the BART Staion if you are coming from or going to the airport or anywhere else the BART services.
I had a graet time and highly recomend this hidden treasure. |

| Cute hotel. Pretty good location. Take them up on the offer of earphones though. The lane outside is amazingly noisy...or maybe I was just there on garbage day. |
