Recent Palomar Kimpton Review: "Hotel Palomar is my new favorite hotel in San Francisco. I go 2-3 times a year for conferences and leisure. This hotel is located within close proximity to Convention center, Union Square and Westfield shopping plaza. This trip was for leisure, 3 people in our room with 2 double beds. View from our room was great, looked out on Market but the hotel being on upper floors made it much quieter than most hotels in this busy area. Rooms were clean and modern. Ipod player alarm clock, Aveda products for shampoo, conditioner, bodywash. Our room had a fridge. Friendly, attentive staff and a complimentary wine reception in the evenings made our stay comfortable. We even received a complimentary tray of fresh fruit with pineapple, watermelon, oranges and strawberries (that's a first!). Not very expensive compared to others nearby and look at all you get for the price of the room. Valet cost is comparable to other hotels nearby, not too pricey either. Valet service was fast and friendly. Can't say enough about what a fabulous hotel this was. I will definitely be coming back to Hotel Palomar!"

Flagship stores ring Union Square, among the vanguard of West Coast retail. Chinatown begins at Grant Avenue and Bush Street, while Gold Rush-era mansions crown Nob Hill.
