Recent Oceano Hotel Review: "My wife and I really enjoyed our stay at the Oceano. We stayed in a deluxe King suite with an ocean view. When we first arrived, there was a wedding party taking pictures in the lobby. I asked myself why they would choose the hotel lobby for pictures, and I had to admit it was a very nice lobby, which gives the hotel a classy feel. When we got to our room, I kept noticing how exceptionally clean it was. This is obviously because the hotel is very new, but regardless, the cleanliness is very important to us. The hotel does not have a restaurant yet, but I understand that there are some plans for that in the future. There is a limited room service menu. We ordered in for breakfast and the food and service were both pretty good. Also, the staff is extremely friendly. I only have two minor complaints about our stay. With very few people staying in the hotel, they still put us on the side with the obstructed ocean view (the obstruction was a small inn). I'm sure we could have asked for a new room, but I hate having to complain to get what I want. If I'm paying for the ocean view, give me the best view you have available. Don't put me on the obstructed side overlooking the marina. My only other complaint is related to the fact that I love a good cup of coffee in the morning. When we ordered breakfast, the coffee was excellent; however, there was no sugar with our meal. When I asked for sugar, they brought me a tiny sugar assortment and said they didn't bring it initially because there is usually sugar in the room (which there was not). It may seem like a small thing, but we ended up going through the tiny sugar supply and didn't have all of the coffee we wanted. My point is, if I order something, make it easy on me; (again) don't make me have to complain to get what I want. Overall, these are very minor issues. If you are considering staying at the Oceano, I think you will find it to be a good experience. Their customer service is not perfect, but it"
