Recent Le Meridien Review: "We arrived in San Francisco on a very early morning flight and took the BART to Embarcadero station and walked the 5 minute walk to the hotel with our suitcases. The $8.10 ride from SFO was easy and much cheaper than a cab and highly recommend taking the train.
We arrived to the hotel just after 9 am, the hotel staff was very friendly and had a suite available right away. The room was fairly large (Studio Suite) and was very clean with a nice modern feel to it. The location was fairly good, we walked to the BART/Muni stations to get around and was a few blocks from the California trolley line which runs from Market Street to Van Ness and intersects with the Powell-Hyde and Powell-Mason lines. Each ride is $5 but recommend getting a daily bus pass for $13 which works on the trolley lines, electric trolley lines, buses and MUNI LRT lines (but not the BART). The hotel is within walking distance to the Ferry Building which has an amazing farmers market and shops. Our favorite restaurant when visiting was also located on the waterfront in the Ferry Building called the Slanted Door, highly recommended (loved the Claypot Chicken and Cellophane Noodles).
We also took one of the hop on/off double decker tours that circled downtown, Golden Gate Park and went out to Sausalito via the Golden gate bridge which had stops 4 blocks and 6 blocks away from the hotel, it is a great and cheap way to see the whole city and all the tourist attractions SF has to offer.
Would definitely stay there again."

| A short guide to Financial District - Ferry Building |
|
The bulls and bears of industry tread the streets of the Financial District, home to the city’s tallest buildings, including the iconic Transmerica Pyramid. The towers give way to The Embarcadero, the broad, palm-lined avenue that begins at the San Francisco Giant’s AT&T Park and ends at Fisherman’s Wharf. The road passes by the Ferry Building, a landmark transformed into an artisanal food market.
