Recent Larkspur Landing South Review: "I stayed here the day before and after picking my wife up from San Francisco International. The free shuttle took about 5 minutes to get us to and from the airport (if that long), the staff was courteous, the breakfast in the morning was your typical continental style, but with a lot of options. The room was nice, with great bedding. It reminded me of an Extended Stay I was in for 10 days, except the bedding at Larkspur Landing was infinitely better! I loved having a dishwasher, full-size refrigerator, a sink, and a stove in the room. Distance to the Pier 39/Fisherman's Wharf is about 10 miles by car, and the time it takes to get there depends obviously on the traffic. We made it to AT&T park (home of the San Francisco Giants) in about 20 minutes, but traffic was pretty bad. For the amenites and the price, the distance to the city was a nice tradeoff. The hotel area is quiet, surrounded by some biotech firms and other hotels. I didn't notice any airplane noise, as the hotel is north of the airport, and a lot of planes come in from the south. In terms of restaurants and grocery stores nearby, you'll have to do your homework - there's nothing readily available near this hotel. You'll need a car and Google to help you find something. The free internet (I don't believe it was wireless, but the in-room desk and provided ethernet cable helps that issue) will help you locate whatever you need, and the business center in the lobby will allow you to print out directions to wherever you're trying to go. All things considered, I would recommend this hotel to any family or business traveler who wants an extended stay in the San Francisco area, as the amenites and proximity to the airport, coupled with the distance to the city and the overall price, make this hotel an excellent value."
