Recent La Luna Two Review: "My wife and I have stayed here on two separate occasions -- we went out of our way (and spent a few extra dollars) to stay here a second time. La Luna is in a great location -- in about 5 or 10 minutes, you can walk to the Palace of Fine Arts (which is gorgeous to walk around), or straight to the marina. The hotel is also right along some major bus  lines, and you can walk less than a block to have easy bus access to the Presidio, the Golden Gate Bridge, Fisherman's Wharf, Golden Gate Park, Chinatown, Ghirarrdeli Square, and all the other major attractions. Chestnut Street is just one block away for great restaurants and shopping, too. One downside to the convenience: Lombard street is a major highway and is extremely noisy, especially during rush hour in the morning. This didn't bother us much because we would usually be too exhausted to even hear the traffic, after a busy day of sightseeing and eating! A minor gripe about our second visit: for some inexplicable reason, our room had very little in the way of lighting. There was a desk lamp, and one bedside lamp. The room lacked any kind of ceiling light or floor lamp to brighten up the room, which was a bit weird. Overall, we love this hotel. The service is good, the rooms are clean and comfortable, and the location is fantastic. We'll probably go back for a third stay on our next trip to San Fran."
