Recent Knights Inn Downtown Review: "While a few reviews I read when searching complained "not close to BART" I found the appx 3 block distance not a big deal. The Civic Center BART station was perfect in relation to this hotel. The neighborhood while being (in) SOMO was not "bad" or loud at night. The area was clean and I didn't see "bad people" loitering around nor did I feel unsafe at any point. The hotel itself is a former chain property and the main bldg where my room was located was/appeared well maintained and clean. The room was not large but had plenty of room to move about and was clean and comfortable. The style of the bldg was nice with an open center type of courtyard feel to it. The staff was helpful, courteous and friendly. The property proved to be a good choice in regards to location to other points in the city and for my needs this trip."
