Recent King George Union Square Review: "I visit SF every 2-3 months for business and this was my very first time at the King George Hotel, have stayed at many 5 star hotels but I wanted a more rustic adventure. After reading the reviews I thought to myself - this is the place for me! Once I arrived at the hotel, I was greeted by a wonderful, friendly staff member named Ann. She was a blessing to me throughout my stay. I asked her about a yoga facility and she didn't know of one nearby but she called me from home after asking her sister about a good place to practice! I am so impressed with her willingness to go above and beyond her job, that the staff members became very familiar with me throughout my week long stay. I would have to say that this hotel is a 5 star, not the mentioned 3 star, because of the staff. Ann, Juan, Drew, Arturo, and Connie all made my stay an enjoyable one. My housekeeper Connie (stay on the 8th floor if you get a chance) was so joyful and happy that when I saw her in the morning, her infectious smile and singing made my day beautiful. Arturo asked a friend to have a town car deliver me to the theatre and Drew and Juan were helpful with information. But I have to say that ANN is a beautiful treat - she looks as though she is a model and she has the most sincere smile and heart I have seen a quite a long while. She was always helpful and did anything in order to make my stay a great one - from looking up information for me, to tracking down a place to visit. The staff and King George Hotel is AMAZING. The next time I visit SF, I am staying here! Oh and the hotel is very well kept up for the star level you see here. Very clean, older hotel with a vintage feel. Very Charming!"
