Recent Intercontinental San Francisco Review: "This was our first visit to the Intercontinental. Opening in February '08, it was still very new, so little chance of getting a bad room, at least that was our hope. We found all of the personnel to be extremely professional and helpful, including when calling down to the front desk, concierge, and room service. The bellmen were curteous, helpful and equally as professional. Our room was very nice, finely appointed including a very large flat-screen t.v. Linens were of high quality as were the pillows and robes, and down comforters. One evening, we ordered roomservice and the order came in a timely fashion, all the food was hot, nicely presented, and was delicious. They were equally as timely coming by to collect our table after dinner. The pool, hot tub, and exercise facility on the 6th floor was wonderful as well. It was clean, well tended to, and stocked with plush towels and swim goggles. The decks were open and had sun and shade decks all day. The only negative observation was the restaurant, not a lot of variety, I oddly found the room service menu more to my liking. The bar food menu was a bit sparse, as were the servings; I am really not into "nouvelle cuisine." All in all, I had a wonderful stay and would definitely return for another visit. This is one of my top picks for the City."
