Recent Hotel Bijou Review: "The rooms are a little small even for us, and we are average build asians. I cannot imagine how cramp it will be for anyone weighing more than 120lbs. The bed is too soft for us and we did not sleep as well as we normally would but it was okay since you don't want to spend your vacation sleeping while there is so much going on just a stone's throw away. Having  said all the above, the hotel expected our expectations in terms of service, cleanliness, safety and proximity to transportation. All the hotel staff were very friendly - from the cleaning ladies to the front desk people, everyone was willing to help and has a smile ready. Safety wise, we walked everywhere, even past midnight and was never bothered by anyone. It is in a busy part of town and you won't feel isolated even if there were shady characters lurking around. The best thing we love about Hotel Bijou has got to be the location. It is 5 minutes walk to the Bart/Cable Cars, Bus stops. Union Square is also 2 blocks away. We will definitely stay here again (and also recommend anyone going to sfo to do the same)."
