Recent Holiday Civic Review: "The Holiday Inn Civic Center is a fantastic location if you're going to see shows at Davis Symphony Hall, San Francisco Opera, Bill Graham Auditorium, or SF Ballet. It's a very short, easy walk to the "cultural" district of San Francisco. You may have to walk a bit further to get good food, but a 10-15 minute walk will get you to some of the best food  in the city: Zuni, Paul K, Le Jardinere, etc. This is doesn't feel like the safest area in the city, but that's just a misperception - it's actually very safe. We walked around at night and never felt nervous/threatened. It's not a super-fancy, but it's a great place to stay overall: the rooms are clean and well-lit; the amenities are decent; the staff is helpful. We would definitely stay here again if we come up for more shows."
