Recent Herbert Hotel Review: "This is right near the heart of Union Square. I loved being near the cable cars. We had a 3 room suite and it worked great for my mom, daughter and son-in-law, and me--giving adequate separation and privacy. Furnishings are spare, but beds very comfy. TVs small, but I didn't come to SF to watch TV. Our early May visit made the rooms cool and comfortable. There is street noise, but I use ear plugs and eye mask and don't have a problem with that. We were on top floor near the back. There is a coffee/tea maker in the room (stocked). I would definitely stay there again."
