Recent Grant Plaza Hotel Review: "My wife and I stayed at the Grant Plaza hotel for 3 nights while visiting family in San Fran. The location was excellent for a person like my wife who had never been to the city. It is located right on the edge of China Town near the financial district and the mall. Northbeach and the Warf are both within walking distance or a quick ride by cable car. The room was quiet, comfortable, and clean. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone who is visiting San Fran for the sights or is visiting anyone in the China Town area. The price was probably the best part, and the fact that the hotel is located within 1 block of a huge parking structure which allows the hotel to add the charge to your bill. ($20/day- great deal for San Fran) The rooms are "cozy" as should be expected for the area... so book a room outside of the city if you plan on spending most of your time in your room."
