| Thought I'd try out this reasonably priced hotel located in the heart of the city. Hadn't noticed it in my many years living in SF and frequent visits. Perfect location to Union Square, excellent customer service, and the hotel was clean. While it certainly is not the highest quality hotel, it was just right for location and convenience. I would highly recommend for folks on a budget that want great location. |

| Hotel is just off Union Square on Powell Street (yes, the one the cable cars use), very convenient to everyplace. I was in town for an event at the convention center on my own dime, and opted for this hotel both because I'm not into big name, big hotels, with high room rates. Sure the lobby isn't much to speak of, the elevators a bit small, but the room was decent-sized and well-appointed, even had a flat screen TV for the little time I was actually in the room watching the Olympics. |

| Excellent location, close to great shopping, restaurants and theatre. All within walking distance. Can catch the cable cars right out in front on powell street.
As close to the action as you can get, at reasonable prices. Rooms were very comfortable, closet was great, tv reception all that was needed.
only ate in the restaurant once, but it was very good, as well. complimentary coffee in the morning, also great.
I would stay again if we go back to the area. |

| Hello Everyone!
I live about 45 minutes from the city and head in on a regular basis for concerts, activities, and bar crawls. I would highly recommend the Chancellor! We booked them for 2 days over New Year's Eve and couldn't have been happier with our choice. The location is superb, and could not be better for the value. I have stayed at 6 hotels within the Union Square area, and for your dollar you will Not get a better deal than the Chancellor while being close to everything and still having a nice room with good service. |

| For an older hotel the Chancellor was very nice. The only complaint was the bed. It was extremely hard and uncomfortable. |

| The Chancellor is an older hotel, but our room itself was very nicely furnished and comfortable. We very much liked the room. Reminded us a bit of a European b&b. My main complaint is that the room was too warm at night, so we had trouble sleeping. When we tried opening the window, it was too noisy to sleep. Generally the hotel staff was quite friendly and helpful. My one issue with the staff was when they ran out of soy milk on the second day of our stay. Apparently that was an impossible problem to solve, even though the Walgreens that is literally 2 doors down the street sells soymilk. The location was very convenient for getting to know San Francisco. |
