| After many years of being my place to stay in San Francisco The Cathedral Hill Hotel is closing on 10/30/2009. This fine lady will be missed. The only other close by Hotel in teh tenderloin is the Holiday Inn 4 blocks up Van Ness. |

| Decent hotel in a great location, rooms are a good size, my only gripe is every room I've stayed in had stains on the carpet.
Wouldn't hurt to get a couple carpet cleaners and do the rooms! |

| Unfortunately the Cathedral Hill is closing at the end of October, to be replaced by a hospital. I stayed there when it was the Jack Tarr and since. Will miss its location and friendliness. |

| The hotel staff was pleasant the hotel was beginning to look very run down. Rumors presiseted through out our stat of things breaking and not being repaired. Lots of difficulties in getting calls from front desk or room to room. |

| I attend concerts at the Regency Ballroom often from out of state and the Cathedral Hill is a great launching point. It's in a good neighborhood with plenty of sights and the Tommy's is right across the street and well worth spending a few hours. But it appears some company is turning the hotel into a hospital. Oh well, enjoy while it lasts. |

| You do get what you pay for. This hotel is located right outside Union Square which is not that convinient but it's close enough that you could walk there. The hotel and room are outdated and old looking. Concierge was never at their desk, no room svc, no bell man. Bed was uncomfortable and the box spring wasn't even covered... didn't look that sanitary. but for the price, it wasn't that bad. Also location of hotel - the noise from the streets is quite bad. Also the walls are thin so you could hear the neighbors... |

| Convenient location. The rooms need to be upgraded a little. the bathroom lighting is too dark. Day time host/concierge ladies need to be more professional and need some attitude adjustments. The late afternoon-evening Manager was very pleasant and helpful. |

| The accommodations were excellent and the staff was very helpful and friendly when giving hints and directions on traveling around the city. We stayed there on a discounted rate and were not provided the breakfast, but that was ok because the city has plenty of great restaurants. |

| Well, the room is extra size for a change though it obviously needs repainting. It is okay for a night or two stay but you have to come up with extra 20 bucks for their basement garage parking or just consider "whatever happens outside with your car happens" attitude. |
