| Consistently a very friendly and lovely place to stay. It is my go to san Francisco Hotel to stay. For SF it is a great deal. The decor is tasteful and the eco friendly approach is wonderful considering there is abundant waste in the hotel industry. |

| The mat're'd was super cool. The place was nice, a little far from most spots but the walks are okay. The only problem is all of the less fortunate people who are always around the hotel. |

| The staff is exceptionally nice. Lots of cultured travelers in the hotel. The building has been kept up; you can tell by the inch of paint layers on the walls and trim. Walls are thin, so don't expect complete silence. Cool place though. |

| The staff was very friendly and helpful. Parking is available at extra charge. WiFi is free but in our roo it was super slow, sometimes unusable. Unfortunately the hotel is close to the Tenderloin district and so there are a lo of homeless people and drug addicts lingering in the surrounding streets. We did not have any problems but it I is unpleasant, especially at night. The rooms are small and the furniture old but everything is clean and in good condition. |

| It was a really nice hotel with very friendly and helpful people at the desk. The rooms were quite large and had each a special character. You can really live in it. |

| Vi havde en rigtig god oplevelse. Hotellet levede op til vores forventninger. Vi tilbragte meget tid ude i byen og det var derfor skønt at komme hjem til en redt seng og rene håndklæder. Beliggenhed var super - tæt på masser af spisesteder på Polk st. Kan varmt anbefales. |

| Mycket bra hotell med mycket trevlig personal. Parkering är dyrt med 30 USD per natt och det ingår inte frukost vilket inte är så bra i mina ögon. Kvarteret är sprängfullt med trevliga barer och restauranger, särskilt vid Polk St. Det är dock en bit att gå till Union Sq. om man vill gå flera gånger per dag men på det hela taget så kan jag verkligen rekommendera Carlton. |

| The hotel was really cute and comfortable and walking distance to amazing restaurants. The staff was wonderful, definitely went above and beyond!! Don't think I would stay with my kids, kind of interesting folks in the neighborhood at night. |
