Recent Carlton De Vivre Boutique Review: "Wir hatten das Hotel im Rahmen unserer zweiwA¶chigen Rundreise gebucht und haben dort die Weihnachtstage verbracht. Lage: Die Lage des Hotels ist prima, zum Union Square sind es zu FuAŸ max. 15 Min. und bis zum FInancial District ca. 30 min. Chinatown und Little Italy (sehr gute Restaurants) sind ebenfalls in Laufdistanz. Das Hotel selbst liegt rel.  ruhig und in einer sicheren gegend. Beim Checkin wird man unmittelbar vor dem heruntergekommenen Stadtteil Tenderloin gewarnt, der etwa 3-4 Blocks weiter sA¼dlich liegt. Man muss sich jedoch absolut keine Sorgen machden, die Umgebung des Hotels ist sicher und wirkt keinesfalls gefA¤hrlich! AuAŸerdem liegen die meisten SehenswA¼rdigkeiten ohnehin A¶stlich und nA¶rdlich. Zum Cable Car sind es auch nur ein paar Meter. Mit der dort verlaufenden Linie kommt man direkt zu Fisherman's Warf, von wo aus die Schiffe Richtung Alcatraz oder fA¼r Schiffsrundfahrten ablegen. AuAŸerdem gibt es am Pier 39 eine kleine Shoppingmeile mit vielen kleinen TouristenlA¤dchen und einer frei lebenden SeelA¶wenkolonie unmittelbar am Pier. Parken: Das Hotel bietet einen Valet-Parking-Service fA¼r 35$ an (ein MA des Hotels parkt und holt das Auto auf Wunsch). Am Wochenende kann jedoch auch kostenfrei an der Quer- oder Parallel-StraAŸe geparkt werden, MA¶glichkeiten gibt es genA¼gend. AuAŸerdem befinden sich in der NA¤he einige gA¼nstigere ParkhA¤user. Auf der gegenA¼berliegenden Seite des Hotels befindet sich ebenfalls ein kleiner Parkplatz. Mit etwas GlA¼ck bekommt man dort einen freien Platz (Kosten: 20$/Tag, beliebige Ein-/Ausfahrt erlaubt). Hotel allgemein: Das Hotel befindet sich in einem guten Zustand, ist eher rustikal, jedoch gemA¼tlich eingerichtet. Im Foyer stehen gemA¼tliche Sessel und Couches vor einem Kamin und es liegt genA¼gend LektA¼re zum Verweilen aus. Von 17-17:30 Uhr findet eine kostenfreie Weinprobe statt, an der jeder Gast teilnehmen kann. Die Mitarbeiter des Hotels sind sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend.
