Recent Bay Bridge Inn Review: "Ricky, the owner, is beyond fantastic!
As I was scheduling at which hotel to stay for the Salesforce Dreamforce Convention, I was a bit leary of staying in the SOMA part of San Francisco. However, this place has put my mind to ease, and I would gladly stay here again.
1) It's only a 3 city-block walk away to the Moscone Convention Center. (That's for you non-lazy people. ;) ) I walked to the convention every morning, and took a cab back to the hotel every night (considering I'm a single female.) The cab fare from Moscone to the hotel is only $5.00, not including the tip.
2) Ricky's customer service is far and beyond par. He is extremely attentive to detail, and goes out of his way to make his customers happy, right to walking the rooms every day after his maids clean to make sure everything was done properly.
3) The room itself is, of course, not posh, but not motel either. It's a standard hotel room, nicely laid out with the queen-size bed, table with 2 chairs, another "vanity" table with a huge mirror and chair, dresser, 2 bedside tables, an iron, ironing rack, clothes rack, and open closet. The room is very well lit with 5 lights. There's even a coffeemaker with the usual accoutrement. The TV has both local and cable channels. My ONLY complaint about the room is how hard the bed mattress is to sleep on, but I'm spoiled with my Tempur-Pedic bed at home. The pillows would've been uncomfortable, but I travel a lot, and I have two Tempur-Pedic pillows that I always travel with. Other than the bed, the room is VERY cozy, and I enjoyed playing World of Warcraft (which requires an intense internet connection) wirelessly on my laptop during my downtimes before bed.
4) The bathroom is spic and span, squeaky clean. Not a single bit of lime or anything anywhere. They're cleaned everyday with bleach (which I only smelled once because I checked in earlier than planned only to drop off my luggage, and my room had literally JUST finished being cleaned. The smell was long g"

Nearby, City Hall’s golden dome sparkles amid the Civic Center’s concrete gray. The live arts thrive at the San Francisco War Memorial & Performing Arts Center, one of the nation’s largest. A five-tiered Peace Pagoda marks Japantown. Castro District, the city’s main gay neighborhood, is a short ride away, as is Haight-Ashbury, the counterculture bastion that is a gateway to Golden Gate Park.
