Recent Americas Best Value Soma Review: "We stayed on July 13 - July 20, and had a great time. To be honest, this is a budget hotel, so don't expect much. However, we've stayed at a worse hotel near fisherman's wharf, and it cost us three times as much. This was a wonderful Hotel if you plan to sleep only.... we were very busy from the time we got up at 6:30a.m. - 7:00p.m. to see all of San  Fransisco, the Golden Gate Bridge, Farmers Market in the Ferry Building, Alcatraz, Union Square, Chinatown, etc. The hotel was great for sleeping, we heard no noise whats so ever. There is a very busy bar downstairs that was hopping ever night, but we never heard anything. The service was wonderful, we asked for more towels and pillows the attendant at the desk was very helpful. Continental breakfast was served right at 7:00a.m. I would recommend this hotel for anyone that is looking just to rest, great price, 1 block from the grocery store, 1 block to the bus transportation, laundry mat right across the street called BrainWash - how convenient. There are some homeless people but you will find that anywhere in San Fransisco"
