Recent Mandarin Oriental Review: "I went there for my 4 years anniversary and had a wonderful time with my girlfriend. The other reviews were right about the view, it is by far the best view I ever had at a hotel. The room was just the right size, with a very large bathroom and the service was great. The bed was the most comfortable I ever had in a hotel with high quality pillows and sheets. Here are some very useful tips regarding this hotel. First, you have to stay here at least once, but don’t get a regular room at least get the second level priced rooms, I upgraded mine for only $15 more and was totally worth it. Second, eat at their restaurant Silk and order the tasting menu it was some of the best tasting food I have ever had, it’s a little pricey but do it for a special occasion and your girlfriend will love you for it. Third, tell them that its your anniversary and the hotel will make it extra special. Fourth don’t park here if you can help it, only valet parking is available and it’s about $57 per night with taxes. Parking was the only thing I didn’t like, but everything else was excellent."
