Recent Club Quarters Review: "I enjoyed my stay at Club Quarters San Francisco. The hotel is located only a few minutes walking distance from several points of interest (e.g. the waterfront, Union Square, Market Street, Chinatown, and Columbus Ave/Little Italy). It is maybe a 5 minute walk to the Embarcadero BART/Muni stop.
The downside of the location is that, being in the heart of the financial district, there aren't many restaurants (other than the Elephant & Castle and Starbucks that are located on the first floor) in the immediate area. I found that I had to walk several blocks down Market St. towards the waterfront before I found a place for breakfast that I liked.
There was also complimentary coffee & tea in the lobby. However, I would have liked to see some kind of continental breakfast, given the dearth of restaurants in the immediate area. The Elephant & Castle is a good restaurant (in fact, one that I have frequented in my home town), and I had dinner there one night, but it is somewhat pricey for breakfast.
I stayed in a single room which was perhaps a little on the small side, yet was comfortable and more than adequate for a single person. The room was very quiet at night, and I was able to sleep well. The hallways and lobby were immaculately kept.
For those who may be concerned about security, all Club Quarters guests must swipe their room key card in the elevator or else the elevator won't work. This prevents unauthorized persons from gaining access to the guest floors.
Club Quarters has free internet access in the lobby, which I used to check my email. A printer would have been a nice touch, as that would have allowed me to print out my return-trip airline boarding pass.
Although I didn't use it, on each floor there is a "guest request" closet with various sundry items like an iron, ironing board, etc. There is also chilled water available near the elevators.
In summary, Club Quarters is a very nice hotel and I would recommend it to other guests. It is clean"

| A short guide to Financial District - Ferry Building |
|
The bulls and bears of industry tread the streets of the Financial District, home to the city’s tallest buildings, including the iconic Transmerica Pyramid. The towers give way to The Embarcadero, the broad, palm-lined avenue that begins at the San Francisco Giant’s AT&T Park and ends at Fisherman’s Wharf. The road passes by the Ferry Building, a landmark transformed into an artisanal food market.
