SFO is located just 12 miles south of San Francisco. The public transit system, called BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit), conveniently links the airport to the city and is the BEST option for getting around. It's a hassle-free 20 minute ride (give or take) with one-way fares costing around $8, depending on your destination.
The airport is also conveniently located to businesses in the north and
residential/business communities to the south. Many of the leading Silicon Valley and Biotech companies are within minutes of the airport.
If you have an early flight or will be working close to Silicon Valley, we recommend booking a hotel in this area.
